Around You was a labour of love. I spent the last twelve months recording these songs all from the comfort of home, crafted around those that I love.

When I was a little kid I used to sit outside and watch the sun go down with my Deda. Every time we met he would ask me "When are you getting a girlfriend?" He also insisted on shaking hands, as it was the "best way to greet someone." He passed away in October of 2011, and the following January I wrote "What's the Weather Like in Heaven" to keep him up to date on everything that happened since then.

Along the way I discovered love, lost love, and found love again, except this time it was for keeps. Written between 2012 and 2018, this collection of songs are stories for my Deda, like we are back sitting outside on the front porch again.
